A previously known issue with certain Samsung phones is the persistently low RXL level of -115dBm. This bug can only be resolved by Samsung.

G-MoN is a powerful WarDriving scanner and netmonitor tool, designed for GSM/CDMA/EVDO/UMTS and LTE networks. It includes voice notifications and can scan for all WiFi networks within range, saving data alongside GPS coordinates onto an SD card. Additionally, users can create a kml file for Google Earth, displaying network details such as encryption, channel, and signal strength. The live map feature presents all accessible Access Points in real-time.

Designed to collect and map all received WiFi access points, G-MoN also functions as a 2G/3G netmonitor and field test drive tool, explicitly catering to radio planning engineers. To ensure accurate positioning on the map, GPS must be enabled.

To import a V3.0 CLF file (decimal cell data and coordinates without characters), simply remove all comment lines, rename the file as import.clf, and copy it to /sdcard/gmon/. Then select the "import CLF" option from the menu.

Users have the option to log GSM or UMTS RX levels into a kml or csv file, with up to five customizable color groups indicating various signal levels. These levels can be defined by the user in the settings menu. The log files are saved in the gmon folder on either the SD card or external memory. During logging, the G-MoN Notification Icon changes to red. However, it should be noted that 2G/3G logging is inactive when the screen is off.
